MF taught these 25 ATM lessons at Hakibbutzim Teacher’s Training College, School of Physical Education, in Tel-Aviv. The book was first published 1971 in Eshkol-Wachman movement notation. Jack Heggie translated the lessons from the notation into English 1986.
Noa Eshkol published a newer edition (1980) and wrote in the Preface,
“The 50 lessons by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais were recorded faithfully as they were delivered by the Maestro, without alternation of order, or omission of any variation however slight, in movement position…
“25 out of the 50 lessons are contained in earlier publications of the Movement Notation Society – 1971 & 1976 (out of print). 25 lessons are “new” — insofar as they are published for the first time. The 25 “old” lessons were reviewed and rewritten.”
