At Amherst, Week 8, 28 July 81, p. 2 of 48, Moshe discusses why you shouldn’t teach to the general public the lessons that they are doing in the training program at that point:

  • If you did what we did in the course, you will find few people following you. And, actually, if you try a thing like that … [feeling the distance between toes and fingers], if you try what I do now with a large number of people, you’ll find that many of them will not come next time because they are confused, they don’t understand what you want and they will never … they won’t know what you’re doing. Some of them, of course, will … will thrive on it, but if you want to have a group and the group increasing, if you start with a thing like that, pfuh. (Thanks Alfons!)

He goes on to show a simple flexors lesson, demonstrating how you can emphasize to people the powerful results of the fundamental ideas of Feldenkrais in the context of a larger movement.
