Synopsis
Face up, legs crossed, arms in triangle: including where you stay at the end point and breathe (not see-saw!), and turning the head with and against. This is a relatively short version of “coordinating flexors and extenors” with a focus on breathing.
Lesson Outline
- Cross R knee over L, and tilt R.
- Other side.
- R leg standing, L long. Form arm triangle and take it L. Stay and breathe (opening ribs on R).
- Same, but take arms L and head R; then together.
- Compare the initial movements with crossed knees on both sides: which is easier now?
- Other side.
- Cross L leg over R, take knees L; take head with, and head against.
- Other side.
- Check in with rolling head (legs long).
- One more L leg over R and tilt.
Focus of Gaby’s Teaching
Breathing, open-ness of breathing through the movement; the question of breathing in or out as you tilt
