- Reel 26, Track 2, Lesson 4
- Duration of the recording: 45 minutes
Synopsis
- Supine, legs in the air, roll over the side to come, first, towards sitting, then towards kneeling, then to standing. Standing, variant 1, turn the pelvis 180 degrees to its orietnation in lying; variant 2, come to standing facing in the same direction. Make the movements up and down rapid. This movement clearly inspired by martial arts. Lesson is vigourous.
Lesson Outline
- Action: lie on the right, right leg bent a bit behind the left leg, lean on right elbow as you lift left leg a bit and come to sitting. Circle the head forwards to achieve this. Same to the left. Supine, both legs in the air, roll to the right and come to sitting in the same way. Same to the left. Same to the right, but now stand the foot in front of the other shin. Then also come up onto the foot and knee, with the hand standing on the floor. Direct the pelvis to the left (to the opposites side to where the head is). Same to the other side. To the first side (right) again, this time stand the right toes as for running. Same to the 2nd side. First side. Do the same action, this time straighten both legs so pelvis towards ceiling, and look at the right hand. The body has now turned 180 degrees to the lying position. Also to the left. Do the same action to the first side, right, but this time stand up fully. He emphasises fluid motion, and the knee not touching the floor before the back. Ie. The movement is much faster and flower. Also to the left. Now, instead of standing up and turning 180 degrees, get up without turning, so that you look forward. Same to the left. To the first side, stand up once turning, once not turning. Note the turning variant is faster. Also to the left side. (BenP

- #ankle freedom. This is a brief, incidental instant in the lesson, and not a purpose of the lesson
- #twisting. The body turns, but i did not consider this to be a twisting lesson.
- Tagging: I would propose to add #judo (BenP
