Synopsis

Lesson Outline

  1. Right Side-lying. Head on support, or the ground. Stand the left hand on the floor in front of the chest. Knees flexed one on top of the other. Move your head backward. Many times. Slowly. Tilt the back of the head backwards. Chin away from the throat.

  2. As left knee is flexed, lift the knee away from bottom leg, take knee backward, as you did the head. Foot stays in place. Pause.
    1. Dorsi-flex the left foot. Foot stays in place, lift the left knee away from right. The left knee and hip, move backwards. Move the left hip backwards.
    2. Return foot to rest and in place, and with left knee lifted from bottom leg, move the anus backwards. No strain, less, slowly.
    3. Once again, Move the Left hip backwards. Observe the difference; left knee, left hip or anus moving backwards.

  3. In Left Side-lying. Head on support, or the ground. Stand the right hand on the floor in front of the chest. Knees flexed one on top of the other. Move your head backward. Many times.

  4. As right knee is flexed, simply lift the knee (not the foot), lift a bit from bottom leg, take Right knee backward. Many times.
    Pause

    1. Now move the pelvis, the anus backwards, softer, lighter, slowly. Entire spine participates. Nothing is left out of the movement.

  5. Return to Right Side-lying. Left hand in front of chest. Left leg is placed behind, in back of right leg. Move head backwards, many times, lightly, slowly. Attention to entire back from anus to head. Flexible like jelly.Pause
  6. Now, Move anus backwards, pelvis backwards. Many times. Gently, not to limit.
    Pause

    1. Move Left hip and knee backwards. (lift knee slightly, foot stays in place)
    2. Continue as above, left knee lifted, move, push, the anus backwards as well.
    3. Continue as above, now also move your head backwards.

    Lie on the back and rest

  7. Right side-lying. Left leg behind right leg. Move the pelvis, the anus , the buttocks, backwards. Left knee is resting, not lifted. Movement of left hip is slightly different here. Hip moves in elevation and depression as anus moves backwards.Lie on the back and rest
  8. Left Side-lying. Right knee flexed, resting behind left knee. Move right hip backwards and forwards many times. Right knee lifted away from floor. Foot is in place. Many times, not to limit.
    1. 8a. Pause and now, Move head backward at the same time move anus backward

  9. Right Side-lying. Hug arms around yourself. Right warm under left armpit and left arm under right armpit. Arms crossed one on top of the other. Left knee flexed as it is behind the right leg on floor. Together, Move the pelvis, anus backwards and the head backwards. Many times. Allow the entire body to participate in the movement however it wants. (editor comment: both hips, both sides pelvis begin extending and flex with this movement)
    1. Change over the legs, left leg in front of the right on the floor. Repeat Moving anus and head backward. Many times
    2. Change the crossing of the arms and together, Move the pelvis, anus backwards and the head backwards. Many times

  10. Left side-lying. Hug yourself, crossed arms. Right knee behind the left on the floor.Head and anus backwards. Then, move the knees towards the face and the face towards the knees, then, alternately, head backwards and the knees backwards. Faster.
    1. 10b. Change over the legs. Repeat #10
      (Editors comment: Moshe did not include the variation of changing over the arms here. I would add that)

    Lie on your back.

  11. Lift both knees over the chest spread. Hands interlaced behind the head. Lift head from the floor, widely spread legs, and lower right leg to the floor slowly, then return and go down to the floor with the left leg, slowly, then return.
  12. Come to stand and walk.
