Synopsis

  • Write a couple of sentences.

Lesson Outline

  • Recall what was done in the past with interlacing hands and turning (a next approximation, deeper understanding)
  • Lie face up. Cross hands in front of face, palms facing you. (Which arm is close?) R arm closer. Keep L arm stationary. Slide the R forearm on the L forearm, from R wrist to elbow (sawing the L forearm with the R arm).
  • Sit up. Now move the R forearm along the L forearm, sliding the same spot on the R forearm from the L elbow to the L wrist. (Perpendicular to the last movement.) (Do you now rest your R arm closer to your R wrist to saw along the L forearm? Why?)
  • Lie face up. Do the same thing.
  • Then keep R forearm still, and slide L forearm, from L wrist to L elbow.
  • Then sit and do the same thing. Then slide the L forearm from R wrist to R elbow. (Perpendicular to the last movement.)
  • Lie face up, and do both movements of the L forearm — sliding it against one spot on the R forearm, and sliding it along the R forearm.
  • Then sit up, and saw both arms at the same time, moving the elbows at the same time. And then slide both arms at the same time.
  • Return to sitting: saw and slide with both arms, and then add the idea that you are moving your hands towards the ears. (See what each arm has to do to go towards the ear if you stop the other.) The hands can continue behind the neck…how could they interlace?
  • Rest.
