Synopsis
- Write a couple of sentences.
- (A) There are three configurations for the hands. i) one hand holds opposite temple from above; ii) one hand holds opposite temple from above and the second hand “pushes” on the first hand. iii) one hand holds opposite temple from above and the other arm lies above the head.
- (B) With each of these three holding configurations, side bending is carried out in the following positions: (i) supine, (ii) prone, (iii) kneeling on one knee, and (iv) standing.(BenP)
Lesson Outline
- Supine, knees bent. Hold the left temple with the right hand, going over the crown
- Pull the head right
- Resume. Also place the left hand on the right hand
- Push with left hand, pull with the right, move the head right
- The shoulders participate more, also the spine and chest
- Resume. Put the left hand on the left temple, right arm down towards feet
- Push the head to the right
- Observe how the right fingers move to the right foot
- Note that with this focus, the movement is bigger
- Resume. Right hand on left temple, left arm upwards on floor
- Pull the head to the right
- The left arm will be dragged to the right with the head
- Walk. Compare sides
- Bend the head to one shoulder and the other
- Pull the head to the right
- The other side. Repeat steps 1, 2,
- Repeat step 3
- Repeat step 4
- Prone, left hand on floor, elbow standing as for a push up. Hold the left temple with the right hand
- Pull the head right, with the back and shoulders
- Do not turn, do not roll
- Repeat step 8 on the other side
- Stand on the left knee and right foot. Left hand on right temple, right hand on left hand.
- Pull/push the head left
- Elbow goes down low. Breathe out. Do not turn or twist
- Lengthen the right arm to the ceiling, pull the head left with the left hand
- Pull/push the head left
- Resume the position, same leg configuration. But change the hands: right hand on left temple. Left hand on right hand
- Push the head right
- Move the pelvis
- Extend the left arm to the ceiling, pull the head right with the right hand
- Other side: change the legs over (on right knee, left foot standing).
- Repeat steps 10.1 and 10.2
- Repeat 11 on the second side.
- With both hands on the right temple, pull the head to the left
- Extend the right arm upwards, pull the head left
- Stand, right arm upwards, left arm by left leg
- Bend to the left many times
- Attend to the location of the two arms
- Stay bent left, return the head to vertical many times
- (Repeat on the second side) Change the arms over, bend to the right
- (Repeat on the second side) Stay bent right, return the head to vertical many times
- Bend to the left many times
- Walk. Sense

- After working the first set of movements on the first side, Moshe gets the class to stand up and bend the head left and right. I felt a very significant difference between the two side. This test was not repeated on the second side. I think it could be good to do so.
- Kneeling on one knee will challenge some. can sit on chair instead. (BenP)
