Synopsis
- Supine, hold the arch of the foot with one hand and under the head with the other. Lengthen the leg to the ceiling and circle the leg in various configurations. The lesson ends with a tumbleweeds rolling from seated onto the back, and onwards in a circle.
Lesson Outline
- Supine, hold the arch of the foot, and under the head. Lift the leg and head and draw circles with the leg. change direction, change legs. Swap over the arm that holds and do the same. Hold the foot and the upper shin and circle the lower leg around the knee. Hold the ankle with both hands and circle the leg. Lie on the side, hold the ankle and circle the leg. Hold the sole with both hands and circle the leg. Sit, soles together, hold both feet, place the elbow on the floor in front of the knee and roll onto the back. Return to sitting. Or continue to roll over and over (tumbleweeds).

- The lesson is straightforward, if challening for those who have tight leg muscles, hip flexors or back. The action is symmetrical and progressive. MF mentions regularly the need to move in a small way in order to feel the quality. He also mentions over and over how the chest and back will soften.
